CIF Finals
Our boys and girls varsity teams finished the season well at CIF Finals. The boys’ team came in 12th, the girls’ team 9th in Division 2. Many of our runners had their very best races of the season. The girls’ team came in 14th of all teams in all divisions at CIF Prelims! Unfortunately, the CIF Southern Section is very competitive and neither of our teams advanced to the State meet. Just 7 teams from each CIF section advance. All 7 girls’ teams advancing from Division 2 finished in the top 10 in the State meet. For the boys, 6 of the teams advancing finished in the top 6 places. If more teams were allowed to advance from Division 2, both of our teams would have made a very competitive showing! Darn those rules! Regardless, we are so very, very proud of what the MCXC teams have accomplished this year!
